With marijuana use becoming more culturally acceptable, more lawmakers in some parts of America are expanding the existing regulations. One of them is New York governor Andrew Cuomo, who announced just this month that he will reduce possession of small amounts of pot from a criminal misdemeanor to a violation with a fine of $100.
Cuomo's approach signals a shift in public opinion on marijuana use, which analysts see as a sign that one day the drug will finally be legalized. We hear that Colorado and Washington states are considering the outright legalization of marijuana November.
Perhaps, the idea of marijuana being legal all over the US would cease to be a dream.
